Q. What's the best thing about working at the RGS?
A. Interesting and energetic pupils and staff - it is never dull and if someone has a good idea they can go for it.
Q. What do you love about your department?
A. The way we build chemistry learning around practical work and skills.
Q. Which staff social groups are you involved in?
A. Choral society, staff wind band, running group.
Q. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
A. Outdoor swimming, cooking, reading, walking, just getting in to foraging.
Q. If you could choose any other career, what would it be?
A. I loved my first career as a central Government civil servant, that was great too. Both jobs are about helping people and making things better.
Q. What is your motto in life?
A. Eat well and be yourself.
Q. If you could give one bit of advice to your younger self what would it be?
A. Don't put off doing things that you know will be fun, just get on with it.
