Groundsperson
Join our Grounds Team and contribute to the upkeep of our extensive sports pitches, ornamental lawns, shrubbery, paths and borders across three sites totalling over 45 acres among the Surrey Hills and Guildford town centre.
We are looking for a lover of the outdoors with a positive, can-do attitude who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will hold a clean driving licence (or be willing to commit to obtaining one), have a flexible approach to your work and be able to prioritise well, meeting deadlines when required.
Relevant professional experience is desirable but not essential; the salary for this role is competitive and will be in line with experience. Full training will be given.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Tend, plant and cultivate the gardens at RGS and RGS Prep;
- Contribute to the care and maintenance of the grounds and facilities at all three sites;
- Treatment and preparation of pitches for rugby, football and cricket including seasonable change around;
- Liaise with and supervise all grounds related external contractors as directed by the Grounds Manager.
